These axe heads symbolise the birth of the Neolithic period, a period in time when we evolved from hunter gatherers to farmers and began to form permanent settled communities that would shape our land for thousand of years to come.

These axe heads have been found placed in bogs and dried up river beds, left there by our ancestors as offerings to the land and rivers.

I’ve carved this axe head of some deep blue jadeite to honour the waters our ancestors would have held so dear to them.
